That $8 milk frother from IKEA is actually better than my fancy one
I picked up the IKEA frother on a whim last month after my $50 Breville one died. Figured it would be junk for $8 but I needed caffeine fast. Turns out the thing whips up foam just as good, maybe even fluffier. I use it with oat milk and it doesn't burn out like the expensive one did. Been using it every morning for 3 weeks now and no issues. My wife laughed at me for buying it but she uses it more than I do now lol. Has anyone else found a cheap tool that worked better than the pricey version?

Right?! I love finding cheap stuff that absolutely crushes the expensive stuff.

Gotta disagree a bit here. My experience with the IKEA frother was the opposite - it conked out after two weeks, started making this weird grinding noise and then just stopped spinning. The foam was decent while it lasted but not as thick as what I get from my $30 Secura one. Sometimes you do get what you pay for, especially with the motor quality on the cheap ones.
