Tried cold brewing with a cheap plastic pitcher instead of my fancy glass one
I always thought the material mattered but last week I used a $10 Target pitcher and the coffee came out smoother than using my $40 glass carafe. No weird plastic taste at all. Anyone else find that equipment matters way less than they assumed?

Yeah I saw a thread on Reddit where a guy tested this with different plastics and glass, basically said if you rinse the pitcher with hot water first it gets rid of any leftover manufacturing stuff. Might just be that the plastic one was cleaner out of the box than your glass one.

Hot water rinse, seriously? That's it?
