Found a map of a place that doesn't exist... or does it?

I was digging through a box of old stuff my grandpa left me and found this hand drawn map of a town called "Thistlewood" that's supposed to be in the middle of Oregon. I looked it up online and nothing shows up, not even old records. So I had to decide: do I frame it as a cool piece of fake history or try to dig deeper and see if it's some lost place? I went with framing it cause the paper was so fragile it'd fall apart if I handled it too much. Now it's hanging in my living room and every time someone visits they ask about it. Has anyone else found a map with a name that seems too specific to be made up?

My buddy found one that led to an abandoned mining town in Nevada.

Dude think about this. If that map was just sitting there for who knows how long, what else was there? Maps like that usually got left behind because something spooked whoever had it. I'd be more curious about what made them drop it than where it leads.
