My printer jammed halfway through an 1850s whaling chart and taught me a hard lesson about paper
Tried to scan a brittle 1850s whaling chart from New Bedford on my flatbed last week and the thing crumpled into the feeder, tearing a 2 inch corner off the Azores. I let it sit flat under a heavy book for 3 days after that and now it lies almost perfect. Anyone got a trick for humidifying old paper before it goes near a scanner?
