That map of the moon from 1835 I hung in my hallway is a total headache to deal with
I got this weird fake lunar map from a thrift store near Portland last year. The thing shows canals and cities on the moon, total hoax stuff from the 1800s. But hanging it straight took me four hours because the frame is warped and the paper is super fragile. Anybody else collect those old science hoax maps and regret it every time you try to put one on a wall?

skyler_white nailed it - Portland thrift stores are a whole different level of chaos. "Cities on the moon" sounds like the kind of thing you hang up just to make your guests question your judgment for four hours straight.

Ha, that's exactly it. I feel like that's the same vibe as those weird cooking gadgets people keep buying. It's like society collectively decided that making things slightly annoying is the new aesthetic.

Nah, I kinda love that chaos though. Half the fun of thrifting is finding something so weird you're not sure if it's genius or a mistake, and those moon cities would definitely spark some conversation.
