The 1895 map of Tulsa I bought last spring has 14 streets that just vanished by the 1902 edition

I compared them side by side this weekend and the later map shows the Arkansas River taking a hard bend where those blocks used to be, so either the river moved a half mile in 7 years or some surveyor was drawing from a bad dream, has anyone else caught a map that contradicts its own city records like that?

Rivers jump around all the time, check the old creek beds on satellite view.

Is that really the same thing though, @wesley_grant33? A river shifting course over centuries is a lot different than what we're talking about here, which seems like a quick change.
