The 1936 "San Francisco Bay as a Dragon" map finally made sense to me

I spent 4 months staring at that old lithograph and hating it because the street names were all wrong. Then I flipped it upside down and realized the whole thing was drawn from a ferry captain's viewpoint at sunset. The "dragon's tail" is actually the Richmond-San Rafael bridge alignment they put in decades later. Has anyone else found a map that only clicks after you look at it from a weird angle?

Heard about my buddy who collect old fishing charts, and one day he turned his phone sideways while checking a 1920s map of the Puget Sound. Suddenly all the depth markers lined up with a wreck he'd dove on for years, and he nearly dropped his coffee. Now he flips every map around like a madman before giving up on it.
