The 1987 mall map I bought last spring is now missing a wing that vanished in 2021

I found this food court directory from the old Tri-County Mall in Cincinnati at an estate sale. Back in April I took photos of it with my phone for reference. Last week I pulled it out to compare against a newer satellite shot and the eastern corridor, the one with the arcade and the weird sunken seating area, it's just gone from my map. Like the printer never knew it existed. But the map clearly shows it in the same spot where the mall's demolition photos show nothing but dirt. I checked the printing date on the back, it says 1987, and the mall didn't tear that wing down until 2021. So how is it missing from a map made 34 years earlier? Either someone altered this specific copy decades ago, or the original cartographer had a reason to erase it. Has anyone else run into a map that predicts a building's removal before it actually happened? I'm honestly spooked and need to know if this is a known thing in map collecting or if I should take it to a university archive.

the printer never knew it existed" is exactly what I'd say about my own brain when I forget where I parked. But honestly, that's creepy as hell. I've collected old gas station maps for years and never seen one straight up skip a building that was still standing. Maybe the cartographer was from the future and just wanted to save everyone the disappointment of that arcade.
