Appreciation post: comic book store clerks know more than I gave them credit for

Back in 2017 I walked into Jimmy's Comics in Portland convinced I had the best pull list ever, but this clerk asked what I liked about each title and then handed me 3 books I'd never touch, like Wayward and The Fix. Turns out her picks hooked me way harder than my own, so now I ask every store employee for one random rec whenever I visit, anyone else do that?
