I finally checked out that comic shop near the old mall downtown

So I had some time last Saturday and decided to walk into Galaxy Comics, the place by the old mall on 5th street. I've passed it for like two years and never bothered, figured it was all back issues of stuff I didn't care about. But they had this whole wall of indie graphic novels, not just the big two. I ended up grabbing three books I never heard of, one about a lunar repair crew and another about a detective who only works cold cases. The owner, this older guy named Rick, spent 20 minutes just talking about lettering styles and why certain panels hit harder. I didn't realize how much I missed that kind of back and forth, since my usual shop just rings you up and says thanks. Has anyone else found a hidden gem store that changed where they buy from, or am I just late to the party?

Twenty minutes about lettering? Sounds like you needed a hobby, not comics.
