I finally figured out why my buddy's collection was so clean
My friend Mark from Detroit showed me his long boxes last Saturday and they were spotless. He said he wipes down every single bag and board with a microfiber cloth before storing them. I used to just bag them straight from the shop and wondered why they looked dusty after 6 months. Has anyone else tried this or got another trick for keeping covers fresh?

lol the "wiped down every single bag" part got me. I tried that once and ended up just watching Netflix while holding a single comic for 20 minutes. Honestly my collection looks like it survived a flood half the time. I swear dust just spawns inside my long boxes overnight. I dont even bother with microfiber anymore I just blow on the bag really hard and hope for the best. Your friend Mark is on another level of organization that I will never reach.

Wait you just blow on the bags and hope for the best too? I thought I was the only lazy person doing that. Honestly I used to think Mark was just showing off with the whole wipe down routine, but now I'm starting to wonder if my "blow and go" method is why my Silver Surfer #4 looks like it was stored in a sandstorm. Maybe I should give the microfiber thing a real shot instead of just blowing dust particles onto the next comic in the box.
