Mile High Comics is falling apart and nobody cares
Went to the Denver store last weekend. The bins near the back are full of water damage. Some dude pulled a key issue and the bag just ripped open. I asked the clerk about it and he said 'we just got a huge collection in, we haven't sorted it yet.' That was 6 months ago. They lost at least 40% of their back stock to mold. If you buy online from them, check every page. Anyone else see this at their local shop?

Reminds me of this shop I used to hit in Phoenix back in the day. They had a whole back wall of long boxes that smelled like a wet dog that had been rolling in old cheese. I found an early X-Men, paid like ten bucks for it, got it home and half the pages were stuck together like a flip book of tragedy. The owner just shrugged and said "humidity happens." I mean, sure, but there's a difference between a little waviness and a biohazard situation. Still bought a few cheap trades from the front rack though, some of us never learn.
