Tbh I regret buying all those polybagged 'collector' comics in the 90s
Honestly, I spent about $300 on them thinking they'd be worth something, but most are still worth cover price. I kept them sealed for 25 years for nothing. Anyone else have a box of 'investments' that just took up space?

Feel my pain, I have a closet full of those 90s foil-cover X-Men books still in the bags. I was so sure my copy of "Superman #75" (the death one, you know) was gonna put a kid through college. Now it's basically a fancy doorstop. All that careful storage just turned them into really expensive time capsules of bad financial choices.

Look at it this way, you got to own a little piece of that era. I kept a few of mine sealed too, but I opened most of them. The fun was in reading them back then, not in waiting for a payday that was never coming. That box is full of stories you liked, not just bad bets. Sometimes the hobby part is the real point, not the value part.
