That collector who said bag and board everything was right about 2 of my 400 comics

Back in 2017 a guy at the Columbus Comic Con told me I only needed to bag the key issues, not the dollar bin stuff. I listened and now 2 of those loose comics have that wavy spine damage from sitting in a long box. He meant well, but his advice only works if you never buy random back issues. Anyone else got burned by a well-meaning vendor tip?
