Unpopular opinion: I reread my old comics and liked them less, not more
Last month I pulled out my run of X-Men issues from 1992 to 1995, the ones I bought bagged and boarded at a shop in Queens when I was a kid. Everyone told me nostalgia would hit hard and I'd love them even more as an adult. Instead I read the first 12 issues in one sitting and kept noticing how much filler there was and how the art on some pages looked rushed. I still love the covers and the memories, but the stories don't hold up the way I expected. Has anyone else gone back to a run they swore by and ended up feeling kind of let down?

Pretty sure filler and rushed art were just how comics worked back then, not a sign they got worse.
