Vent: The pile of plastic from my comic book haul is kinda shocking

I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but all those bags and boards for new issues add up fast. We should really talk about cutting down or finding better ways to store stuff.

Ever think about how much of that plastic is just for short term protection before it gets a permanent home? I switched to Mylar bags for my key issues since they last way longer, and I skip bags on cheap reads I plan to trade. What's your storage method for books you know you're keeping forever?

Short term protection" makes it sound like we're guarding state secrets. They're comic books. I keep the ones I care about in a cardboard box in my closet. Seems to work fine.

You're right about the short term protection adding up. I switched to Mylar for my favorites too, but I still feel a pang of guilt looking at the regular bags for everything else.
