Always used to think helium was the only option for deep bell bounce mixes but then I saw a dive sup's chart showing 10% hydrogen in the trimix actually reduces narcosis way better
Found that stat buried in a 2019 GUE report after my buddy sent it to me last week and now I'm rethinking our entire gas planning for the next 180-foot job off the Texas coast, anyone else ever run hydrogen in a commercial setting?

...and THAT report is why I switched my deep gas over to hydrogen trimix two years ago. The narcosis reduction is NOT subtle, it's like night and day compared to straight helium. You have to be REAL careful with the H2 though because it makes your lungs feel like you're breathing fire if the mix isn't dialed in perfectly. For a 180-foot job I'd probably keep the hydrogen below 8% just to stay safe from the explosive risk and the burning sensation. The other thing nobody talks about is how hydrogen throws off your decompression models, you gotta plan like an extra 15-20 minutes of stops to be safe.
