Am I the only one who thinks dry suits got way worse over the last 5 years?
I've been diving since 2012 and I swear my old Viking suit from 2016 held up better than the new one I bought last spring. The old one lasted me 4 years with just one wrist seal swap. This new one started leaking at the neck after 8 months. Is it just me or did the quality drop when they changed the neoprene blend? I see a lot of newer guys saying they have to replace suits every 2 years now. What's your experience with newer vs older gear?

4 years with just one wrist seal swap" - honestly that still sounds pretty good to me.

Yeah I’m over here changing my whole watch every year and a half because I drop it or scratch it up, so four years sounds like a marathon run. I can barely keep a phone screen intact for a month without cracking it, so that kind of durability is basically magic to me. Maybe I need to stop treating my gear like it owes me money and just appreciate the good ones.
