Blew $400 on a Kirby Morgan band mask that didn't fit right

Bought a used KM Band Mask off a guy in Louisiana last month. Told him I needed a medium shell. Got it in the mail and it's clearly a small. My forehead was slammed against the lens. Couldn't even get a good seal. Tried padding it out but still leaked during a 60 foot dive. Seller ghosted me after I sent photos. Anyone else get burned on used gear from Facebook groups?

Is it really that big of a deal though? I mean, you bought used gear off a stranger in a Facebook group, that's always kind of a gamble. A leak at 60 feet isn't great but it's not like you were doing a deep dive and could have gotten hurt or anything. Did you even check the serial number or try it on before you paid? Seems like a pretty easy fix to just sell it again and move on.
