Got a weird text from my tender about a 'sea monster' during a 90 foot dive

Last Thursday off the coast of Galveston, my tender sent me a photo of a huge shadow on sonar and typed 'big boy down there, stay sharp.' I swam over to check it out and it was just a massive, tangled fishing net wrapped around an old tire, not a sea monster. Has anyone else had a surface crew scare you with something that turned out to be total junk on the bottom?

Swear to god, this happened to my buddy Dave on a wreck dive off Destin. His captain starts screaming over comms about a giant hammerhead circling right below them, so Dave drops down ready for battle. Turns out it was a ripped-up inflatable pool float, one of those giant swan things, half-sunk and swaying in the current. He said the head part even had a little hole that made it look like an eye staring up at him. Cost him a whole tank of air just to swim down and confirm it was trash.
