Hit 100 feet of depth on a salvage job last Tuesday and realized my drysuit zipper was leaking the whole time

I was down at 110 feet on a sunken barge near Port Angeles and came up with ice water in my suit. Took me two hours to warm back up in the truck. Has anyone else pushed past their comfort zone on depth and gotten caught with gear that wasn't ready?

Did that leak slow enough to stay manageable, or did it really let loose on you?

Ask if it was a pinhole or a split seam that started it, because that makes a huge difference in how fast things go bad. I've had a few packs fail over the years and the slow seeps are way easier to catch before everything gets soaked. The ones that blow out on a seam are a nightmare, water just pours out like a faucet. Did you have any warning at all before it let go, or was it just instant chaos?
