Old foreman told me to trust my bottom time gauge over my gut feeling and it saved my ass

I was doing a hull inspection on a cargo ship in Norfolk last month and felt like I was running low on air. My gauge said I still had 20 minutes left but I was getting anxious. I almost surfaced right then. Remembered what my old foreman Doug said about trusting the numbers not your nerves. I stayed down and finished the job with no issues. Turns out my regulator was just a little stiff from the cold water. Anyone else ever get that panic feeling even when your gear says you are fine?

Oh for sure, @jamies45 knows what he's talking about. Just make sure you're double-checking those assumptions yourself before you bet the farm on them.
