Pro tip: skip the expensive drysuit repair kits

I dropped $80 on a name-brand patch kit for my crushed neoprene wrist seal and it barely lasted 3 dives before peeling off. A buddy's rubber cement fix from the hardware store for $12 is still holding strong after 6 months... anyone else have luck with cheap alternatives?

Hardware store rubber cement saved my drysuit too. Bought the $4 tube and it's been solid for over a year now. Never going back to the name brand stuff.

Actually, that neoprene isn't crushed - it's probably compressed from the clamping. Crushed neoprene would be more like a foam that's been squished flat, not a seal that's been pinched tight. The rubber cement trick works great though, I've used the same stuff for years on my garden hose repairs.
