Serious question, has anyone actually tested those cheap drysuits from Amazon?

I dropped $450 on one of those no-name drysuits off Amazon and almost got myself killed on a 60 foot dive last month when a seam blew out at 40 feet. Water temp was 45 degrees and I was shaking so bad I couldn't seal the emergency valve. Who's got a budget brand that actually held up under pressure?

Oh man, I heard about someone else testing a cheap Amazon drysuit that lasted maybe two dives before the wrist seals tore. A buddy of mine read a forum post where a guy said the material felt like thin plastic and started leaking after one weekend. Sounds like you got real lucky making it out of that 60 foot dive alive.

Hard to believe that was even legal to sell for diving.
