Still hate removing drive cages from old Dells
Used to yank those plastic drive cage rivets out with a flathead screwdriver and a prayer. Took me like 15 minutes per machine and I broke at least one clip every time. Now I just use a $6 nylon pry tool set from Micro Center and pop them out clean in under 2 minutes. Has anyone else found a trick that saves more time than the actual job is worth?

Bro i saw a video where someone just zipped the whole cage out with a pair of channel locks and a flathead pliers. They just gripped the rivets and twisted hard. Took like 30 seconds per cage. I tried it on an old Optiplex and it actually worked way better than fighting with a pry bar. Just gotta be careful not to snap the plastic board underneath.

30 seconds per cage" my back. I tried that and ended up with a rivet embedded in my thumb for a week. Guess I'm just not built for the pro speedrun strats.
