That guy who said to always use thermal paste gaskets was wrong
Last month a customer swore I had to use those pre-cut thermal pads on his Ryzen build or I'd void the warranty. I did it his way, temps ran 8 degrees hotter than my usual pea-sized paste method. Has anyone else had a client push a bad tip on you that you just went along with?
