That one customer who taught me more than any certification ever did
Had a guy come into my shop in Austin back in 2019, must have been 70 years old. He brought in a Dell from 2005 with a dead hard drive and asked if I could recover his family photos. I told him it would cost more than the computer was worth, and he just looked at me and said 'son, some things don't have a price tag.' I spent three hours with a data recovery tool and got most of the pictures back. He paid me $50 and I learned that day that our job is less about parts and more about people. Has anyone else had a customer that changed how you look at this work?

Right? There goes my plan to scroll mindlessly before bed without feeling things. Thanks for that.
