Visited an old repair shop in Detroit last week and saw they still use a CRT monitor for diagnostics

I stopped by a shop I used to work at back in 2007. The place hasn't changed much, but what got me is they still have that old CRT monitor on the bench. They use it for testing vintage gear and some industrial machines. Kinda made me miss when you could actually see a capacitor bulge before it blew. Any of you guys still keep old gear around for specific jobs?

Just give it another decade and someone will post it on r/vintagecomputing as a nostalgia flex. But honestly, nothing beats the satisfying "thwump" of degaussing that ancient beast.
