Tried recording the opener at the 9:30 Club with my phone in my shirt pocket instead of holding it up, no comparison
Held my phone up over my head for the first two songs last Friday and got nothing but crowd noise and wobble, then I tucked it in my chest pocket for the rest of the night and the bass actually came through clear. Standing near the sound booth instead of up front made a bigger difference than any setting on my phone. Anyone got a pocket spot that works better than the chest, or is that pretty much the move for club shows?
