Gave up hand floating big slabs, power trowel only now

Used to hand float everything over 500 sq ft cause I thought power trowels left too much washboard, but a job in Phoenix last summer with 90 degree heat and a 2 hour window changed my mind. Swear by the 36 inch ride-on now for anything flat, what do you guys do when the mix is too wet and it keeps sticking?

Wait till it sets up a bit, wet mix sticks no matter what you run.
