Hit 500 yards of concrete placed last month and it got me thinking

I checked my logbook and realized I poured my 500th yard on a small driveway job outside Grand Rapids. That number surprised me because I remember when 20 yards felt like a huge project. It made me think about how much I've learned since I started out mixing bags by hand in 2012. How many yards have you guys placed since you got into this trade?

You ever stop and really think about what 500 yards means? That's a lot of miles on a truck and a lot of early mornings. I remember my first big pour, maybe 30 yards for a basement, and I was absolutely wrecked by the end of the day. It's funny how the small jobs teach you the most, though. That driveway in Grand Rapids probably felt a lot different than mixing bags by hand back in 2012. Good for you for sticking with it.
