Just noticed something about the walkway at the Denver Zoo

Whoever did the stamped concrete at the new entrance poured it in 90 degree heat and didn't use enough curing compound, you can see the spider cracks spreading out from the expansion joints already.

You're jumping to conclusions way too fast. Denver's been having crazy temperature swings lately, that alone can cause surface cracking no matter how good the pour was. Stamped concrete is finicky stuff, a few spider cracks near joints is totally normal settling. Most contractors would tell you that's just the concrete doing its thing, not a sign of bad work. Give it a few seasons and those cracks usually stay surface level anyway, not a structural thing.

Had a buddy in Aurora get a stamped patio done last spring and panicked the same way when a couple hairline cracks showed up right after the first freeze. His contractor came back out, showed him the same thing you're saying - totally cosmetic, never got worse.
