TIL that cheap magnesium float from Harbor Freight is a total waste of $15
Honestly, I grabbed one for a small patio job last month thinking it would be fine. The blade warped after the second use and left terrible marks in the cream. Ngl, I had to go back over everything with my old Marshalltown to fix it. Anyone know a good brand that won't bend on you?

Ask yourself why they'd sell it if it can't even handle a light pour.

Funny enough, I used to buy those cheap floats too. Learned the hard way that a warped blade just makes more work. My old Goldblatt has held up for years without any trouble.

My buddy Mike bought two of those for his garage floor. He said the first one snapped clean in half when he put any real pressure on it. The second one just kind of flapped around because the handle connection was so loose. He ended up borrowing a Kraft tool from our other friend to finish the job.
