Took me 4 hours to get a broom finish on a driveway because the mix was too wet from the truck driver adding water on site

By the time I figured out that extra water was the issue, the concrete was already starting to set and I had to work like crazy just to get it passable, has anyone else dealt with a batch plant pushing wet loads late in the day?

Started working my driveway at 6am and the truck showed up at 3pm with a load that looked like soup, I feel your pain man. The driver told me he added water to make it easier to dump but didn't think about how that would kill the broom finish. Ended up having to use a push broom and a hose just to fake the texture before it all went bad. That extra water is a nightmare for flatwork and nobody at the plant seems to care when they're trying to get home.

Good lord, nothing like wet concrete to make a simple job turn into a disaster.
