Trowel machines changed my flatwork forever

Back in 2003 I was finishing a big warehouse slab outside Phoenix with just hand trowels and a bull float. We had a crew of 6 and it took us two full days to get it flat. Now I run a power trowel and I can knock out the same size pour in about 4 hours, and honestly the surface is way more consistent. When did you guys make the switch, and did anybody fight it as hard as I did back then?
