Wasted $200 on a fancy power trowel blade that couldn't handle the aggregate

Bought a high-end blade from a supplier in Denver thinking it'd give me a smoother finish on a garage floor, but it just threw rocks everywhere after 10 minutes... has anyone else had luck with those segmented blades or are they all hype?

Those fancy blades are just overpriced rock launchers from what I've seen. Segmented ones work okay on soft screeds but anything with decent aggregate and they'll spit it right back at you. Spend the extra on a good resin bond blade instead of falling for the marketing hype.
