A partner literally laughed at my deposition prep notes last month
I spent 3 days pre-witness prep notes and he just pushed them aside and said 'you're overcomplicating it, ask the witness what they actually saw and shut up.' I cut my prep work down to half a page now. Has anyone else had a senior lawyer totally trash their process?

Did you ask them for feedback on what they actually wanted before you wrote it up? I've found most senior lawyers have a very specific format in their head and get pissed when you don't match it, not because your work is bad. Maybe try sending them a one-page template first next time and ask if that works before you go all in on prep.
