Compared e-discovery tools Relativity and Everlaw for a case last month

I had to pick between Relativity and Everlaw for a document review on a 50,000 page contract dispute. My firm has used Relativity for years but I wanted to try Everlaw since it's cheaper. Honestly Everlaw was way easier to set up and the search function was faster. The team picked up on it in like an hour versus the full day training Relativity usually needs. But Relativity had better analytics for spotting patterns in the data. For this case the speed mattered more so Everlaw won out. Has anyone else switched tools mid-case and regretted it?

Switching tools mid-case sounds like trying to change a tire while the car's still moving. Did that once with a different doc review platform and spent three days rebuilding my search filters from scratch. Brutal. Your call sounds solid though - sometimes you gotta trade fancy analytics for speed when the deadline's breathing down your neck. My stupidest move was sticking with the old tool out of habit, then paying for extra hours because the team couldn't find anything fast enough. Relativity's a beast but Everlaw just gets out of your way.
