Had to decide between settling a breach of contract case or taking it to trial in Chicago

My client wanted to settle for 50k after their supplier delivered parts three weeks late, but I thought we could win more at trial. We went to court and the judge ruled in our favor, but the damages only came to 62k after legal fees. Would you have pushed for trial or taken the settlement in that situation?

Man I would've taken the 50k and run, last time I trusted my gut in court I ended up with less than the offer and a fancy lesson in humility lol

Holy crap, you actually went to court over less than 50k? That's wild, I would've just taken the money and ran too.
