I wasted $5,000 on a pre-trial consultant for a small contract dispute
We were fighting over a $15,000 payment from a vendor who didn't deliver. I hired this consultant who promised he'd help us prepare a winning strategy. After three months of meetings and reports, the judge threw out half our evidence on a technicality anyway. He charged me $5,000 for basically zero real courtroom value. Has anyone else had better luck with these pre-trial consultants or are they mostly fluff?
