Just got burned by a boilerplate clause I skimmed over from a 2021 contract
Signed a vendor agreement 3 years ago for a partnership deal, never thought to check the force majeure section until a logistics hiccup hit last month. Company I was dealing with used it to dodge a $40k penalty, leaving my small delivery route in the lurch. Anyone else had a generic clause bite them like that without warning?

Did you even READ the contract before you signed it?

Got a buddy who signed a lease without reading it, turns out it said no pets allowed and he has three cats. Now he's paying a fat fine every month and still sneaks them in through the back window. Contracts are wild.

Sometimes skimming a lease is easier than getting stuck in all that legal jargon when you're just excited to move in.
