Just realized corporate discovery is basically digital archaeology
Spent three days digging through a client's old email backups from 2018 looking for a single contract attachment. Learned that nobody ever archived anything properly, just kept hitting 'forward' for five years. Has anyone else found weird time capsules in old server dumps?

Oh man, that's wild. A buddy of mine works in IT for a law firm and he once found a folder called "misc" that was just full of screenshots of people's desktop backgrounds from 2010. I swear, digital hoarding is a real thing.

Isn't it crazy how people just accumulate that stuff without even thinking? @noah_barnes your buddy probably stumbled onto someones digital time capsule, I bet half of them don't even remember taking those shots.
