My old boss gave me bad advice on a vendor contract
She told me to skip the indemnification clause. Said it was standard boilerplate and a waste of time. Fast forward 6 months later. Vendor messed up big time with our customer data. Cost us $40,000 in legal fees to settle. Had that clause been in there, vendor would have paid. Anyone else have a coworker give them terrible legal advice like that?

Forty grand is a lot to learn that lesson. I get why you're mad but honestly, sometimes indemnification clauses are so one-sided vendors just walk. A middle ground might have saved you both headaches.
