I used to just glance over indemnity clauses and assume they were standard boilerplate, but a $15,000 dispute with a vendor in Phoenix taught me to read every single line. Now I highlight specific terms and ask my legal team to explain anything unclear before I sign. Has anyone else had a nasty surprise from a clause they overlooked?
