Settled a breach of contract case vs took it to trial in Phoenix last spring

I had a supplier who shorted me 12 cases of luxury vinyl plank and refused to make good. My lawyer said settle for 60% of what I was owed or push for full damages at trial. I pushed and won the full amount plus court costs, but it took 14 months and I almost lost two other clients from the time sink. Has anyone else gambled on a trial and regretted the payoff in time alone?

Funny you mention it... I used to be all about pushing for every dollar no matter what, but after a similar situation ate up most of a year I totally get why people settle now.

12 cases isn't worth burning 14 months, @the_skyler, unless you're running a charity.
