The contract review that turned into a two month headache
I ran into a dispute over a supplier agreement that seemed pretty simple at first. Both sides thought we had a standard rolling renewal clause, but nobody could find the original signed copy from 2018. It took us over eight weeks and three lawyers to dig up old emails and get the other side to agree on the terms. Has anyone else had a simple contract issue spiral out because of missing paperwork?

Did your buddy ever find out if the other side was hiding the original on purpose?

yeah so that whole thing reminded me of this time my cousin bought a used car from some guy on facebook marketplace. the listing said it had 80k miles on it but when he got the title paperwork it said 180k on the odometer from a few years back. guy swore up and down it was a typo but my cousin kept digging and found out the seller had just reset the dash cluster before taking the pictures. ended up being a whole legal mess. i swear people get weird about hiding little details like that. its always about saving face or making a quick buck.
