The deposition transcript that somehow got shorter after 8 months

We had a whale of a case in Austin where opposing counsel swore their expert's report was gospel. Fast forward 8 months, same expert flips on every single point in the supplemental filing, and the transcript went from 214 pages down to 89 after their side redacted half of it. I still can't figure out if they were trying to hide a bad audit or just playing chess with the judge. Has anyone else seen a party quietly shrink their own evidence like that?
