The e-signature platform locked us out mid-deal and it cost us $12,000

We were closing a merger agreement last Thursday afternoon and the e-signature platform suddenly flagged our client's signature as 'suspicious' and froze the entire document. No warning, no way to override it, just a dead end with the other side's lawyer waiting on the line. Has anyone else had a signing platform fail at the worst possible moment and what did you do to get it moving again?

Did you get any kind of explanation about why it flagged their signature? I had something similar happen with a different platform a couple years back, but it was a real mess. We were trying to close on a commercial lease and the system locked up because one of the signers used a tablet with an older operating system. The platform's support team told us it was a security thing on their end but wouldn't budge on letting us finish. We ended up having to print everything out, fax the signed pages back and forth like it was 1995, and then scan them back in. Took the better part of a day and the landlord almost walked away.

@jason_robinson No real explanation beyond "security flag" from their end. We had to print everything out and scan it back in too, wasted almost a whole day. Did the support team ever tell you what exactly triggered the lock on your end?
