A client in Atlanta had crusty mascara wands hidden in her purse, now I check everything before I start

I was doing a full glam session for a bride last Saturday in Buckhead and when I opened her makeup bag for touch-up tips, she had three dried out wands she'd been poking at her eyes with, so I spent 10 minutes sanitizing and explaining why that's a breeding ground for styes, has anyone else found scary old tools in a client's kit?
