A client in Tulsa talked me out of balayage for her gray hair

She told me she wanted to keep her silver, and honestly I pushed the balayage hard at first. Turns out a simple gloss and a good cut did way more for her than any foil work would have. Has anyone else found that pushing the trend cost them a repeat client before?
